I need to replace a 1993 120hp Force trim/tilt pump. Trim motor runs great but the pump does not. It was disassembled by the wrong person and now needs to be replaced. I have spent hours looking to find a direct replacement but to no avail. the number on the transum is OEO12087 and the only number I find on the pump is 37-43530.

It is a 2 wire with 4 hydro lines that come out the bottom, 2 bolts to mount from the left and fills from the back.

Any one know where to look?

I would not mind up dating but to what is a second question.

Re: Trim help

there are two models. One has all four ports evenly distributed across the bottom of the pump manifold. The pump (inside the reservoir) is perfectly round and almost looks like a cylinder of solid aluminum. I have those on hand. IMO, it is the best engineered hydraulic pump ever sold on any mercury made engine. If this is your pump then (imo again) "updating" is a downgrade.

The other pump has all four manifold ports pushed to one side (up against transom clamp). The pump itself is not cylindrical and has a rocker arm across the top. IMO, that model isn't worth fixing. Look for a used one off craigslist or ebay.

attaching a picture of your pump/system would help.

Four port Eaton. I have one of these finished and hanging in the paint booth now. However, I can probably put yours back together and test it for under $50. Eaton is a great pump. IMO, you got the best pump ever put on a outboard engine.

Two questions spring to my mind -
First, why was it taken apart? The pump almost never fails unless the trim piston is going out. Mercury used cheap ATF in the early 1990's which led to premature failure of trim ram. The debris from trim failure usually causes pump failure.

Second, why replace? Send in all the parts you have and get it put back together and load tested. Unless you have lost some critical parts it will be cheaper to assemble and test and you will get a known good pump assembly that is easier to install.
