trim how to use

1972 omc sterndrive 225. What is the proper way to use the trim on the o/d. Is it just for up & down of the o/d or can you control the plane with it. Thanks Rich

do you have trim? I thought 73 was the first year OMC offered Selectrim.

or are you talking about the tilt for the sterndrive?

It is the tilt does it have any other use other than raising and lowering the o/d.

Nope, Don't trim with it, run it Down,....

don't even start the engine with it anywhere but full down.
