hello.i have a 19 foot 2001 bayliner capri...when I leave and return to the marina, its real shallow and I trim up all the way until it stops but haven't trimmed up with the trailer button,(which can go way up)...im just off idle in fwd.. im not sure if its wise to trim up any higher than just with the trim button as I don't want to break anything ..i never had to do this but im at a new marina this year and at low tide theres not a lot of water. thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Yes, whenever you run the motor, with the drive trimmed past the stops, it's Tough on the u-joints,...

That said, I occasionally do the same, when necessary, at Idle speeds, only...

I have to raise mine a little into the trailer setting to get into a shallow dock. No problem providing you keep her at idle. If you hear a knocking noise, that's the u- joints protesting:(
