Re: Trim leaking

I just ordered a manual from Mercury today for a 50 HP engine, should cover your engine also, check back in 2 weeks.

If you are saying it lowers itself without electric motor running, the check valve in the valve body are leaking.

2 stroke, 4 stroke, how many cylinders?

Re: Trim leaking

I have a four stroke manual, but it does not match your serial number. Later model. The housing/valve body has check valves, on the end of the little valve is a seal/o-ring. Im looking at one diagram that shows the valve behind a large plug with slot for screw driver, looks like 4 valves. Bigfoot model different, has almost same valve different housing. I would spring for Mercury manual that matches your engine, has great photos. Mercury does not service some of these valve bodys, they expect you to buy new valve body. The little seal looks same as 125 Force, which I have pn for or you use a very small o-ring. You have photo of your unit?
