While troubleshooting my trim system I found that I could raise or lower the lower unit with the limit switch unplugged and no jumpers added at the bullet connections. Although the trim limit switch test good the system will not respond to the setting of the switch in other words it will not stop the up travel. after checking the wiring at the pump etc and not finding any issues, I thought that the wiring must be rigged at the control (model, brand unknown). Although I don't have a trailer switch I thought its acting like someone hot wired the up switch to act as one. I started looking at the wiring at the control and found there to be the all the wires connected( before the switches) to the appropriate wires at the harness, The only difference was there was a white wire that was hooked up to the green wire coming from the control and hooked into the green at the harness .I could not find the white wire on any prints so I unhooked it just to see what would happen, now the lower unit goes up but doesn't get the signal to come down. WHAT is the white wire (its looks factory from the control) and How do I make the system act as it supposed to? Why wouldn't there be a trailer switch on the control and how do I add a remote trailer switch? Thanks for any input!
