Re: trim limit switch replacement

trun the drive all the way to starboard to get access to retaining plate bulb...1/4 drive with 7/16 socket on a wobbly or universal joint,i taped the two grommet half's together on the wire before and after the grommet so that the two half's would not be misaligned i then used a zip tie to keep the retaining plate right on top of the grommet. before installed i taped the wiring harness together every 3 inches with electrical tape and took note that the longer wires were for trim limit (not necessary as wire harness has 2 bullet connectors and other wire has male/female).used a small bungee cord on harness to keep tension from inside the boat as i tightened up retainer plate....only concern is the retainer plate bolt is to be torqued to 90-100 lb. in. or 10.2-11.3 NM

Re: trim limit switch replacement

Thanks for the info, I just need to get the new parts now. Is there a brand to stay away from? I also need one of the screws to hold the sender on.
