Trim Line Routing Question

I had to recently change out my transom assembly on my 1986 Chaparrall with an 5.0 OMC Cobra. At some point in time I have messed up how I had my trim lines that run from my Motor/Resevoir to the inner transom plate. I am not sure which one goes on the top and which one goes on the bottom, or if it matters.

And before the comments start I know I should have marked the lines better. So we have that part out of the way, lets get on to the solution. lol

Thanks

Well, the Service manual should indicate where hoses hook up....short of that I would run the pump "UP" and see which hose "squirts". Then hook them up accordingly.

Re: Trim Line Routing Question

I have went through the manual page by page, it goes through everything and has pics on almost everything, but nothing on which line is up or down. With the motor installed there is no way, that I know of, to check the lines. The inner transom plate is directly over top of the lines. I assume the top is the "squirt" line and the bottom would be the pull line. Or according to the pump, wonder if top goes to top and bottom go to the bottom. Once I figure this out I can finish installing and hooking up the motor.
