Hello,
Recently my trim pump went dead, I have put my motor up with the manual release vaulve and with the bracket. Now when I want to put my motor back down, it only goes down to the end of the tilt. How can I lower the two trim pegs, they are completely in the up position, I have no idea how they went up.

Maybe this gives a better understanding, with the motor trimmed a little bit up the trim motor stopped working, like this i boated for a few more months. When I got the boat out of the water I manually raised the engine by turning the manual release vaulve. A week ago I started removing the pump but got to a hault by a few stuck bolts. The center pin that connects the engine with the trim and tilt hydraulic jack is removed and the jack is completely down. The 2 pins of the trim are now completely in the up position and cant get them down.

Yes it's still open, when the hydraulic ram moves by the engine little drops of oil get out of the system at the vaulve

Oke, I finally got the whole unit out, removed the motor, opened it to check te brushes and the whole trim motor was full with oil from the unit, the brushes were also loose, would be a new one be my best solution or is it worth reparing?
