Have a few questions-
So I came to the conclusion that I need to replace my trim motor. I've tested everything else and hooked the motor straight to battery, to no avail. Anywho, I need to pull the trim motor out and replace. I'm new to this boat scene and don't understand what needs to happen to get the motor out. Got all but one screw that has no chance of coming out
Thanks

1990 18' Ranger Apache 150XP Evinrude

Re: Trim motor help

That's no way to get help!!
But anyway, Tilt your motor all the way up and set the trailoring block. Look at the big, fat, short pin that goes through the shaft to the tilt. Remove the snap ring on one side and drive the pin out. Should be able to now swing the tilt assembly out far enough to get to that last bolt.
