I am looking at a used mid 80's (not sure on exact year) V4 crossflow...the trim motor is a 2 wire conector and it is bad. I have a working trim motor off of a '79 crossflow that is a 3 wire connector...can a 3-wire trim motor replace the 2-wire motor? I have the box with the solenoid, fuse, terminal etc for the '79 as well as the control box.

Re: trim motor swap

Yep, no problem. If it were me I'd keep the 2 wire stuff around to switch back. But the motors will interchange.

Error here. Attempted to upload dual solenoid setup to no avail.
