Trim motor

Can someone tell me how difficult it is to change a trim motor on 1994 Mercury 150? Mine has been giving me problems and I think I will have to replace it soon

Are you able to post a serial number for the engine...might help in determining the style of trim motor you have. I have done quite a few trim motors, I would rate them at 'medium' difficulty to complete. Generally just need rnr the new motor and fill and bleed the trim system properly. As well as running the new electrical from the motor up under the cowling.

Power trim jerky

When I am trimming down my trim is very jerky until it hits the 2 rams. Going up is no problem. Does anyone know how I can fix this? My motor is a 1994 Mercury 150 Xri

Grease the tilt rod and bleed the PTT unit.
