Trim Problem

[Lost Sailor]

I have a 4 cylinder mercruiser I/O on a 1988 Glastron. My trim will only go up when i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and as I turn it back to the right it continues to work till a certain point (about when it's straight) The trim will always go down with wheel in any postion and it will trailer up in any position. Any ideas would be appreciated, I am novice to all this but trying to learn thanks!

It appears that the Wires from/to the Trim Limit Switch are Shorting out........<br /><br />The Easy Fix is to By-pass them where they come together Inside the transom.........
