Hi,
When we press the switches to raise or lower the switch, there's no sound or click. Below are my pics... How can I troubleshoot it?

Also it specifies an oil to use, but where do you put it? Thanks

Re: Trim Pump Troubleshooting

Re: Trim Pump Troubleshooting

If someone could just confirm, what I think from what I've been reading.

I'll connect the batteries.

Then to factor out switch...

Then directly connect the positive wire to blue-up (Sky) and green-down (grass)

and it should move up or down or click, right? Which one?

If it doesn't, then it's probably the Trim Pump? But if it does, move, then my problem is the switch and I need to troubleshoot that, right?

Thanks

Re: Trim Pump Help

I see a LOT of corrosion on those wire terminals. (The green color is copper sulphate)

Undo your battery - cable, then undo 1 terminal in those pics at a time, clean the wire ring terminals with a wire brush or sandpaper, put a film of grease on all, then put them back, tight.

IF the wire is also corroded in the terminal, cut it off, strip the wire, crimp a new one on.

Then I'm confident everything will start working again.

I would guess the oil fill is the screw at the front and right of the motor in the picture.
