on a 97 mercruiser pump is a J1171. Sometimes I'll just hear clicks when I press the button so I prob. need to replace the solenoids, but when it does actually kick in and start working the trim just won't go down even though the pump is making noise. I'm prob just going to replace the whole pump as I've already tried taking it apart and cleaning the whole thing with the same result. What do I need to know about putting in a new pump dealing with the fluid?
