Hey everyone - my trim pump is extremely noisy going down. Up is fine but down is horrible. That said, it works just fine. This is actually a brand new pump I just replaced today. My old one did the same thing so I changed it out today and I have the same noise. It might even be a little worse.

I have run it up and down a dozen times to ensure all air is out and the reservoir is full. Again, it only does it on the down travel, not the up.

Here is a video. Any idea what it could be?

Hmm. Why does it not sound as smooth and quiet going down as it does going up? Going down almost sounds like a tumbler full of rocks to me. But again, the last one sounded like that too. I appreciate all of the help guys I just want to make sure all is well before I take her out this year.

sounds normal here also... When the drive is going up the pump is actually having to work. On the way down, the pump isn't quite freewheeling but there isn't the pressure in the system to keep all the parts meshing together tightly.
