new to the forum and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. my up trim switch on the throttle did nothing, the down switch just clicked the solenoid. the trailer switch raised the motor. The stern switch would go up but not down. replaced both solenoids, now the up trim switch on the throttle clicks the solenoid. the down moves the motor and the trailer switch doesn't work. the stern mounted switch will go down but not up. please help

Could be low voltage caused by faulty connections or a weak battery

I would probably start with

--Verifying the battery and all connections including a good ground
--using a volt meter to see if the full 12 volts is present at the large solenoid terminals and also the switch signal that activates them.

-- Its possible to jumper the solenoids & activate them as a debug process

Agree start with te battery charge state, and clean all the connections.
If it still does it then you have corrosion issues with connections and switch's

new battery on charger constant. cleaned all terminals before installing and applied dielectric grease to all terminals

Well then -- Are you comfortable with a MultiMeter ?

I would look for voltage drops across the switches etc.

I was planning on using my meter and checking voltage. How do I jump out the solenoids to make the pump work to check? I am also going to check the limit and sender switches. my trim gauge has been stuck in the up position since I got the boat and can't figure out why.

Its either the gauge or the sender
Disconnect the sender wire from the gauge and see if it goes all the way down with key ON
