Trim Pump Stops, then starts again

Boat: 1999 Larson 186 LXi BR
Engine: 4.3 Gi PWTR Volvo Penta
Outdrive: Volvo SX-M
Trim Pump: Volvo P/N 3858069

In short, my trim pump will function for about 10 seconds and stop. At that time, it will not go up or down. The relays will click but the motor will not activate. After about 60-90 seconds, the motor will click and will become active again. This happens while trimming up or down.

Things I have done:
-Removed the motor to check for any obstructions and clean the internals
-Removed the fluid container, and valve body, cleaned, and re-filled with new fluid.
-Replaced both relays

Any thoughts?

Ayuh,... It could be as simple as a corroded connection,..
Or,..
It could be the pump telling you it's about Dead....

My guess is, you might wanta start Shoppin'....

My initial diagnosis was the pump but I wanted to get some secondary opinions on it before spending the money.

The thing that gets me is the little "click" that I hear just before the motor begins working again. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I have dismantled this motor and put it back together more times than I can count and have found now visible evidence of a problem.

Any other thoughts or ideas? I would like to get some additional opinions prior to shelling out the cash for a new trim pump motor.
