Trim pump

I looked around and searched the site with no luck looking for an answer to my question. I have a hydraulic trim pump, I just rebuilt my engine and hooked my outdrive up, I tried to trim all the way up and it will only go a little more than half way but it trims all the way down. I do not have a trailer switch that I know of, Do all boats have them? If not, where should I start with my problem?

you more than likely have a trailer switch, sometimes you just depress the "up" side of the switch on the remote harder to engage the trialer feature

or there may be a separate triler switch either halfway down the handle or on the bottom edge of the remote plate

Maybe I should have looked a little harder, midway down the throttle lever there is a trailer switch and it worked just great. Thanks for the quick response.
