i have a Monterey 180 Fs with a Volvo Penta 140Hp. Model number 3883603. Over the weekend we noticed the trim moving very slowly. We put it on the trailer and overnight the motor dropped all the way down and we also noticed fluid on the ground. There is some fluid in the resivor, but Lois quite milky. Also when I run the trim it looks like fluid is coming out near where you where the control wires come into the unit. Could it be a gasket leaking or do I need to replace the whole trim unit?

Thanks!

I think you can get a rebuild kit . How ever it would be easier to replace the unit.

most likely you have a seal that is toast on one of the trim rams which brought water into the system. or a hose has a leak

no need to replace it, simply get a seal kit for the cylinder or replace the hose, change the fluid and you should be good to go.

need to know if you rhave the first design or second design on your SX drive
