I have a 99 volvo penta sx. I removed the pin that holds the back side of the hydraulic rams on so I can tilt the trim cylinders up and tie them out of my way to remove the outdrive. When I removed the pin I looked into the hole that it just came out of and noticed a spring hanging down from the center. I'm sure it's there for a reason but my parts guy can't find the part number for it, nor does the parts mag show the part. My chiltons manual does not show anything about it either. Any Ideas? Thanks and I hope this made sense.

Mercruiser uses a Similar System on the Leading End of the Cylinders.......
It Grounds, or Bonds the Rams to the Rest of the Boat......
It Helps Alot with the Electrolysis thing......
