Hey guys when I got the boat my trim up Button wasn't working and I noticed the trim limit wires were all crazy at the end so I replaced the sender and limit switches. Before the switch replacement the trim gauge worked partially- but I think it needed adjusted as it was a bit off- but it worked. Now new sender is installed and needle is pegged up- when I adjusted the sender clockwise( should pull needle down) it did pull it down a bit but still not even on the hash marks- and the sender is turned to its most clockwise postion. these are Sierra senders. Any ideas? Thanks!

Try removing the sender and rotating the inside part (I'm tired and can't remember the right name) and see if the gauge goes through the full range.

Take the starboard sender back off the gimbal ring. Use a 1/2" socket and turn the ( I forgot too) center part that rotates with drive motion. Have someone watch the gauge. Key must be in on position & you turn the center part of sender that turns. Turn it full circle. You should get some action on the gauge.

If not, check connections inside. Or ground the sender & watch for full deflection on the gauge.

Okay if I do does the inside piece bounce back or does it need to be turned to calibrate too than the screw slides are just for fine adjustment?
