Hi all,
Sorry about this stupid question but I'm new to this game. I also hope this is the right section for the question? Anyway here I go. I assume that the round bar that goes through the bracket (there are about 5 holes to choose from in a slight semi-circle) parallel to the transom is used as a stopper when trimming the boat? Mine is in the last hole closest to the boat. Should I just leave it there? And when using the trim does it matter where you leave the motor when it's not being used? What I mean is it better to take any pressure of the ram?
Sorry but thanks
Peter

Power Trim is designed to support the weight and power of the motor, at full speed. I use it to support the motor whenever necessary. I do not think any further supports are necessary, because when the motor is not running, the Power Trim is on "vacation".

Your trim pin should be in the bottom-most hole to keep the motor from hitting the transom.
