Alpha I, found another thread like this but was a sender adjustment. I'm not worried about what the gage says, but when I look at the back of the boat with the drive as far down as it goes, I can tell it's not all the way down. I replaced the limit and sender last year, and checked them again yesterday. The manual that comes with the limit/sender gages tells me the max stroke for setting the up limit (21.75"), is there a dimension for all the way down? Pump sounds fine and seems to operate ok, I don't store it with the drive on, and usually back it off a touch after raising, so don't think its a check valve issue. The troubleshooting chart I looked at doesn't address this condition. Thanks for any help.

Re: Trim stops at 3/4 down

My Bravo drive does that sometimes . . . If I trim the outdrive down the pump motor keeps going, but the progression of the outdrive stops and does not want to go any further . . . a little bit of forward gear on the water brings it down.

I think that the pistons and/or shafts may bind up a bit. There are barnacle cutters on the end of the pistons and I think that those sometimes have too much of a grip on the shaft.

Sometimes, I'll give the piston shafts a wipe with silicon lube to make them happier.
