Ok I just got my new shifter installed and it didn't come with a trim switch, of course. Anyway, I don't have time to wait for the correct switch to get here so I'm attempting to wire up a temp 3 position switch until the correct one gets here. Here's the issue, the switch I have has 6 pins on the back. From the boat wiring harness I've got a red, blue, green and purple. What goes where. Trying to get on the water for Mother's Day so I need some help quick. Thanks for any help!

Ayuh,.... Green grass is the Down circuit,...

The Blue sky is the Up circuit,....

The Red, I would think is battery power,....

'n Purple is usually switched power, the ignition circuit,...

What are We workin' on,..??

Oh yea I guess that would have helped. 1983 Glastron x19. In any case i just figured it out. I had a bad switch. Replaced it with a good switch and voila, everything works for the time being. Thanks anyways. I'm sure I'm gonna have plenty more questions and issues in the near future.
