Hi- I have a Quicksilver control for my 150 Mercury Blackmax motor. It has only 1 centering type trim switch on throttle handle. It will trimdown, but not up which I imagine is a faulty switch. How do you disassemble the switch from the handle? There are no screws for taking apart.Thank you Larry Hollibaugh Note: Also what rpm is a the above motor to be set at full throttle.

Re: Trim Switch

Every Quicksilver trim control I've seen has a safety switch on the backside or bottom to prevent you from trimming too high. Are you pressing this switch as well? If the motor goes up with both buttons pressed then the problem is the trim limit sender. Mine's been broke for years, I'm just careful not to trim too high.

Yep,
I by-passed my trim limit switch, Right where it comes through the transom....
1 Button does it All now.....Just don't trim it too high...
I'd sooner think your problem is Not in the Button on the control....
You Might get by with Cleaning the contacts in the trim limit switch, mounted on the Gimbal Ring....
