Hello, not sure if the question goes here. I just purchased a 40 force 1995 with all cables, control boxi did not notice till I was mocking everything up that trim was not on the throttle handle. The owner said there was a toggle switch on dash. Question is, how to hook it up. There is 2 wires that came out of the hood/front of motor, I can touch one to the + side, trim up, other wire touch, trim down. Is it as simple as just hooking both wires to a switch on the dash. Or is there a 3rd wire I need to hook too the toggle. Thanks.

Reading your comment it seems like you are saying that there are two wires coming out of the engine cowling. You didn't specify their colors. And if you take one of those wires and touch it to the positive side of the battery, it trims up. And if you take the other wire and touch the positive terminal on the battery it trims down. If that is correct then you can hook it up to a (Mom) ON / OFF / (Mom) ON SPDT toggle switch with a +12 volt applied to the center terminal on the switch. Then when you flip the switch one way, you apply 12 volts to that wire, and when you flip it the other way you apply 12 volte to that wire. So get a spring loaded center off toggle switch and attach the wires to the outer two terminals on that SPDT switch and 12 volts to the center terminal and it should work. However, make certain you use some type inline fuse or circuit breaker to protect things... :thumb:
