Trim switches on front and back of boat will trim up but not down. Replaced both switches still same problem. What do I need to look for?

the switch should have a green/red/blue try swapping the green and blue (any other color switch the 2 outside wires leave the middle one on the switch). try the trim now the switch is reversed and see if only the down works now (bad switch) or if the up is the only one working (bad wiring)

on a side point: the switchs in front and rear are realy only used to raise the motor so it reduces the drag of the motor while trolling and its also useful when its on the trailer to lift the motor before pulling up the ramp (saves getting back in the boat). on some boats people will disable the switchs as they tend to step on them or put tackle on them making the motor go down while fishing (scares the fishes away).
