trim swithes

I have a 1997 traker pro 18... when I use the trim switch on the throttle handle some times it works fine then it doesn,t want to go down until I mess with it alittle. Same with the switch on the front of the boat it,ll work fine then it wont go up. Just got the boat tryn to work all the bugs out.Could it be the trim unit or just bad switches?

or solenoids, or wires, or connectors.....

You need to go at it with a meter and a wiring diagram and figure it out.
