Okay I always forget. If the boat is pulling to the right, do you move the trim tab to the right, or to the left. If its to the right, I don't have any more play. What can I do?

Re: Trim Tab

It is right (starboard). Your trim tab is full to the right, and the boat still pulls that way?

How old and what kind of boat & motor? With the motor trim parallel to the transom, compare the height of the antiventilation plate to the keel. How far above or below?

Is the motor straight up and down dead center of the transom?

Check your motor mounting bolts for tightness.

Tilt the motor up. Grab the skeg and wrestle with it a little - give it a good shake - observe whether the transom flexes at all, even the least little bit.

Take a good long hard look at the bottom of your boat. Does the hull have any noticeable deformity?

Does the boat float level or does it list to one side or the other?

Measure the height of each of your eyes from the floor with you sitting or standing with your head straight upright. 8) jus kiddin

Thats what I thought. Its all the way to the right, keepers inside is not letting me turn it any more. Everything else looks good. But I will measure everything when I get home. The boat has a small tunnel hull. Do you measure from the top of the tunnel or the bottom of the boat?

Re: Trim Tab

Measure from the bottom of the boat, the tunnel will let you run it higher...being too low could give you a problem...if the AV plate's higher than bottom of boat, that's not likely to be your problem.

I'd post this question over in the "Prop Questions and Topics" forum, let the set-up gurus take a crack at it.
