I'm a new owner of a 2006 Bayliner 24.5 Cruiser Sunbridge and I would like to know more on how trim tabs are used. My last boat didn't have trim tabs I was looking for any bit of help I can get.
They are useful in helping your boat get up on plane faster and stay on plane at slower speeds. Also if your having a problem with the boat listing from side to side while you are on plane, they will help balance you out. I've got a 21' bayliner cuddy and the smart tabs did wonders for the boat. It not only gets on plane faster but is much more stable at all speeds. I still do not understand why boats do not come equipped with them.
