Trim / Tilt cylinders leaking

My trim/tilt hydraulic cylinders are leaking again despite having them resealed on 2 occasions. The guy at the shop told me that the shafts were scored and if they were raised or lowered the full amount then they would drag the seals out. He advised replacing them but they are not cheap here in the UK.
Any comments on the above?
Can anyone recommend a good dealer in the USA to purchase them from?

Yeah - I do have a Volvo - I find though that most shops on I-Boats will not post to the UK. Any other links?

Not going to buy new now. The shafts are scored so having a new set machined and fitted, and am told they will be like new.
Cost of 2 new shafts and new seals ?340 GBP

Or have your re-plated. You cannot buy the shaft and/or seal kits here and I had mine re-plated. Got seals at local hydraulic place.
