Trim/Tilt - goes down BUT not up

Hi,
Have a Force 125 HP 1986 - wife wants out of driveway. I have to put in water tomorrow. Slow start to season as I re-carpted.
Trim/tilt worked up and down to put engine leg in water barrel. She started up fine after a whole winter outside.
BUT trim/tilt wouldn't go up after I shut the engine down.
It seems to still go down though.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the up relay,had the same thing on my 1998 120 force.

I have the same problem with my 98 Force 120. What did you do to fix the problem?

Mine goes up and down but goes up slowly, down goes good sounds like a weak motor? or low on fluid it slowly goes down also when it sits in the yard..
