The other day my trim tilt just stopped tilting when taking it back to the boat launch. I can hear the pump motor running when I press the buttons up or down but it don't move the engine. I checked the hoses for leaks and cleaned the unit for broken seals. I ran new oil but it doesn't seem to be pumping it all. I manually lifted the motor up and down a few times to get air out of it but I might have done it wrong? What are the proper ways to bleed this system? I have a few pictures of the unit.

The PTT pump/reservoir is self bleeding. Filling it and running her up/down a few times and then refilling is the proper way to bleed it. The cylinders require manual bleeding, but it would be unusual for them to need bleeding unless you had them open.

Fill the pump/reservoir with some 5W-30 motor oil or Dextron auto trans fluid, whatever is already in there. Don't mix 'em.
