Hey all.
Came looking for some guideance. I replaced the trim motor on my 1991 150 gleis. Took it out yesterday for a test run(about 2hr) on the way back, it totally quit working, and i had to raise the motor be had so i could trailer the boat. Got to the parking lot and tried the trim again. I could hear the motor but it wasnt doing anything but a shooo now and then.(Like it was a surge with nothing). Got home removed entire trim assy and began removing the trim motor, oil sprayed everywhere (good thing?).
Now the question. I assume i had good pressure right? However, when i change the motor the first time there was no oil between the motor and the valve body. Should there be. I assume so because thee is a filter there.
Any ideas as to y i didnt have movement in the trim? Can valve bodies be rebuilt? or what do you think my problem is?
