Trim/Tilt motor...

My trim/tilt motor went out, can I replace the electic motor without taking the whole assembly off?

In most cases no.
But that is just a WAG without knowing what you have. You know make, year, model, etc.

Yeah I just took mine off today!! What a BIT$# !!!! I had to take off teh whole outboard.. I have a 86 115 Mercury...

Now i have to try to break down the motor and see if it is shot!!!
