Advice please: I have a 270 with a single 350 mag. I have tilt trim fluid in my bilge. The trim reservoir is empty. The cap is cracked but no signs of fluid near the reservoir or pump. The hydraulic lines appear to be good but the disappear under the engine. Is it possible to blow a hydraulic line running in low water? I always had outboards this in my first I/O. I did run in low water.

Depending on the year, some of the older trim pumps crack on the bottom, allowing all the fluid out, without leaving any trace on the reservoir. Is the reservoir held on by a single centre bolt up through the bottom, or 4 small perimeter bolts going in from the top? (See attached parts bulletin)

Thank you I will check that. I have a 2009 and the pump is very viewable and accessible no signs of any fluid near it.
