If its only the up function then its the trim limit switch or bad connection

If its up and down then there is a bad connection or no connection

Ok. So just saw that you say you installed it. May be a relay issue. Is it set up for both motor and remote with the wiring you have ? Does it do nothing at the remote or does it click at least ? You should be able to prove it just by bridging wiring at either side of the remote switch. Check continuity between there and the relay.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I installed the motor and electrical is not my strong suit lol. I just plugged the control harness into the motor harness, connected the throttle and shifter cables. Installed a new tach and connected it to the wires coming out of the control. As I mentioned in my post there are 3 bullet connectors coming out of the control, red male and 2 female blue green with white stripe. No explanation of where they go. I thought the blue green was trim related. Thanks for your help. Not sure when I will have time to work on it. Will post any updates. Oh I get nothing at the throttle lever, no click.

Those 3 wires are in the pic above. Red connects to 12V, Green/White to Green/white relay (down) and Blue/White connects to Blue/White relay (up)

Ok, so the trim switch in the throttle lever is not connected to the motor via the main plug? I have to use this wires to connect it to the delays on the motor?
looking at the main plug on the motor, it looks like the green/white and blue/white come out and connect there already. Does that mean those3 wires at the control have to go into the control and connect in there?

Just took a closer look and undid some wire ties. Buried under all of the wires I found there is NO blue/white or green/white wires coming out of the main plug, but a two female "Y"'s for the possible connection . Gonna go to the nearest Merc dealer to see if there is a harness. Or I guess I could just run the wires myself. Thanks AllDodge, your post made me look closer before taking the control apart.

Thank you to all that helped me solve this issue. I finally had the time to work on it and as some of you said it was just a matter of connecting the wires to the trim plugs in the motor and the red to 12v. Didn't think it was gonna be that simple, usually things are not that simple for me. Lol. Thanks again guys.
