I have a 48 horse Johnson. The Touch-trim hydraulic unit is locked in the up position.I tried to adjust the cable, with no results. Should I replace cable, or whole unit?Price? dmill.
Howdy, Dmill. Though it doesn't seem logical, UP is where the T&T will stick when it is low on oil. OMC used several different types of T&T units so you will need to figure out where to refill it. Watch that you don't remove the release screw, which will let the motor down. The refill plug will look like the lower end oil plugs. After you refill it, run it up and down a few times, let it sit for several hours, then top it off.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . . <br />JB
