Hey guys, I've got a 1972 125hp johnson, and when I'm moving at a farely low speed in shallow water and I need to trim up it holds but when the speed is increased the trim lowers down to the bottom position. There isn't a leak anywhere in sight. It holds just fine when it's out of water and parked but when it's under load it gives up. any thoughts?

Describe the physical appearance of that unit, such as...... one lift cylinder on the outside of each transom bracket..... or just one tilt cylinder under the engine between the transom brackets, ect. There's a bunch of different type lifts out there.
