trimming up

I just bought the boat last year and I still havent figured it out.How should i do it.I know you should start with it all the way down. Then when should you tilt it up or shold you.

Start trimming up after the boat gets on plane. From there it pretty much goes by feel.

Like DJ said, you can start trimming up after you're on plane. Trim up and you'll start to go faster at same throttle. Stop as soon as the boat begins to porpoise (bow rhythmically drops and rises) then trim back down slightly till it stops bouncing. That is optimum trim position.
