I was given an 18' Trisonic Riverra with a 165 Mercruiser, inline six I/O. It's a '76 er. <br /><br />I was wondering if anyone has any info about the maker, could you let me know. I can't find any reference to trisonic in any books or on the internet but it is the only name i have seen on the paperwork and on the inside of the boat. <br /><br />It is not running, i kinda broke the alternator off because it was so corroded and the starter is bad i think. I haven't been able to get the starter off though ,theres a bolt or something i'm missing. <br />Also,I heard that i can buy chevy car parts and they will mesh with the motor just not last as long. Is this true?<br /><br />I just want to get the thing started once. I would love to use it. the people who gave it to my aunt(who then gave it to me) let it set two years before they got rid of it, but before that they ran it pretty often. I have an ok knowledge of auto mechanics, but boats are beyond me so far. SO if you could tell me any sort of things i should do to the boat maintenace wise, since its been setting so long, i would be very thankful.<br /><br />Lastly if you could email that would be great, I will check the BB's here but i cant do it nearly as often as Email.<br />ANy help would be great.
