All,

I have a 2006 G3 LX3 22C with a Yamaha F115TLRD (manufactured 12/04) mounted as low as possible. I believe it is about 3000 lbs dry. I currently have a white Yamaha aluminum prop 13 1/2 x 15. It has a couple nicks and one very slightly bent tip.

I took it out tonight for a few test runs to see where I am currently. Here are the results:
Boat is 22.5' long and 8.5' wide
20+ gallons of fuel
3 people (420 lbs)
Another couple hundred lbs of gear
I'll estimate 3700 lbs loaded during this test
Water temp 77.5
Max speed (engine trimmed) 29 - 30mph
RPM's 5500 - 5600

I'm looking to get more general all around performance by moving to a stainless prop. I'm good with the current holeshot as it can pull me (230 lbs) up on a single ski - deep water start. I don't really need more there but don't want to lose any. I occasionally pull a tube which I could use just a bit more speed. Sometimes I load it up and then I normally only get about 19 - 20 mph out of it. I'd love to get a bit more out of the top end.

I've found a Yamaha performance bulletin with my boat with a 150 and they got 39.7 at 5650 RPM's with a 14 1/4 x 17 reliance but of course my engine is smaller.

I'm open to any suggestions including number of blades or even aluminum. I'm not really worried about hitting any large rocks, but I do occasionally see sand with small pebbles (probably where I picked up my small dings)

Thanks in advance for any advice given! And if I need more info, just let me know.

That's pretty darned good!

My 24' tritoon with a merc 115 turns 6200 rpm at WOT and a 13.75 X 13 prop (I'm at high elevation, so I'm only getting about 95 HP).

My 3500 pound boat tops out at 24 mph.

I am surprised those toons weigh that much. The one time I rode in one I was at the helm on a windy day and it got blown all over so I thought it was light. I recall having to keep a bit more headway to maintain direction across the wind as compared to my dad's trihull Glastron.
