Recently some members have been for information about Triumph Boats.

I just recently purchased a Triumph 170 Center Console. So far, I have nothing but praise for the boat. It has a very good dry ride, takes wakes from other boats smoothly, doesn't require a lot of motor to move the boat at a decent speed. My boat is powered by a Yamaha 2-stroke 50 hp engine, and will easily run 35 mph, carrying 4 people at 3/4 throttle (approximately 4000 rpm). I know, 35 mph ain't going to keep up with a lot of the high powered bass boats you see on the water, but it works for me, at a whole lot less money.

The construction of the hull isn't as slick as a gel coated fiberglass boat, but it is as tough as the company and the ads say it is.

As far as some of the problems with screws pulling out of the hull, so far I haven't experienced that problem.

A lot of people balk at the "plastic" construction of the hull. But I look at it like this; a few years ago a company named GLOCK came out with a plastic handgun, it was really critized by the experts, now that plastic handgun has proven its self to be very reliable and durable. Most handgunners now love the gun. In years to come, I think Triumph Boats will be accepted just as the GLOCK is now.

If you are looking for a good, solid boat, at a very reasonable price. Take a look at Triumph. It may not be for everyone, but for me it fit the bill and the budget.
