I have a 2007 Q4 Tahoe F/S boat that I am considering buying a Motor Guide x5i or Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor for. It currently has the stock Motor Guide with hand lever. Does anyone know if the trolling mounting plate that comes with the Tahoe will fit on the newer tolling motor, because they look wider and shorter. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or has any advice. Don't know if I have to purchase an removable plate again or not. Been to a few fishing stores around and they don't seem to know.
