My trolling motor is making a high pitched squealing whenever the motor is turned on. It is working great otherwise. Any ideas if it is something easy to fix? The motor is a 2000 Motorguide EF54.
Does it do it in/out of the water? ( you should always run it IN water BTW>)
Have you run it with the prop off to see if that cures it? Sounds like something is rubbing inside/outside motor housing?
It does the squealing both in and out of water (I only ran it very briefly out of water). I have not run it with the prop off to check if it still does it. I will try that.
