Trolling motor interference<br />When I use my trolling motor it causes my fish finder to go crazy!<br />They are both on separate batteries about 2ft apart.

If this is a new trolling motor, run the motor for about 12 hours to seat the brushes.<br /><br />If it's an old trolling motor, replace the brushes and repeat step one.<br /><br />If it's a brushless motor with a solid state controller, you need to put an RF filter on the power lines.

It is a min kota pd40... bought it new this winter and have used it quite a bit, although added up I may not have 12 hours on it yet.
