trolling motor length

This is my first bow mount trolling motor setup. If I get a TM longer than needed at times can I set the motor for cetain lengths? (say a 48" at one time and then lower it to a 54" at another? )

Minn Kota Power Drive models can be adjusted for depth. There may be others as well.

Thanks thats one of the models I have been looking at . They don't say that in the ad descriptions.
