After doing my homework here, I upgraded to 6 gauge wire for my new trolling motor. Now, where do I find a plug and receptacle for 6 gauge wire? I found some locally and on the net for wire up to 8 gauge but I have yet to find one for 6 gauge. Is it a dealer item?

Re: Trolling motor plug/receptacle

Hey Jeepers,

I just hooked up my new Minn Kota 24 volt trolling motor. I had 2 10 gauge negatives and 2 10 gauge positives, I needed a plug that would accept these twisted pairs and a receptacle that would accept my 6 gauge. Marinco makes a nice setup, a little pricey though, 2018BR-MB is the receptacle and 2018BP-24 is the plug. It's good for 12, 12/24, and 24 volt systems. I didn't have to jump my batteries as the jumper is in the plug. So I have 4 6 gauge wires coming right up to the plug. POWER BABY!!!!!! Hope this helps!

Captain Mike

PS If I bought it from Cabellas I would have saved some $$$ but I'm fishing now so..... :D
