Looking for a little help with battery wiring on this 97 Quantum Bass. It has a 24v trolling motor, and boat came with no batteries. Please see picture I have attached, but as far as I can understand and see, this is where I should connect the wires:

Missing cable for pos. to neg. connection on the 2 batteries
green wire to positive terminal (runs up front to the trolling motor)
White wire to negative terminal / new breaker to be added (runs up front to trolling motor)
orange wire to positive terminal (connected to main breaker behind seat)
black/white stripe wire...... this is one I'm not sure about as I can't see where it connects to

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Rafal

Ok I think I figured it out so there is an accessory plug on the front by the trolling motor plug, I'm assuming its for 24 volt as well. With that said:

green and orange wires to positive terminal of battery 1
white and black/white to negative battery terminal of battery 2
both batteries obviously connected in series

You should have two wires coming from your trolling motor, you need to identify those first. Wherever your trolling motor is mounted find out the colors of your wires, Because you just bought the boat, the previous owner could have changed the colors of the wires to lengthen the cables. When you find those 2 running from the trolling motor, since it is a 24v system you have to have 2 batteries. The negative side of the trolling motor wire goes to one battery, the positive side has to go to the other battery. Then you have to have a jumper wire, to convert both batteries to 24v. Any other wires is not needed, so be careful not to include any other wiring at this time.

Thanks for the response, I did end up figuring it out, connecting the wires just for a 24v set up didn’t work, so I had to connect the 2 remaining wires for the motor in a 12v set up and everything worked perfect. Thank you again
