Hey...I have an older Motorguide Great White 35lbs thrust bow mount foot controlled trolling motor on my 12 foot aluminum boat.....

My question is.....

I have the battery in the rear bench seat of the boat....Its running my livewell pump, 2 fishmark 320's, nav lights, and my trolling motor.....I never run out of juice over a day's fishing and have a backup batt in the truck if I need it......

My run from the bow is about 13ft, I used the same guage wire that came on the trolling motor (I believe its 10G wire)......Am I losing power from having the batt so far away from the trolling motor?....I have heard of some guy's running really heavy wire so they don't lose power but there motors are a lot more powerful than mine........

When its windy I don't have enough thrust to keep the boat steady and I don't have the funds to get myself a new one......

I really like this motor....Is it possible to have the armature re-wrapped to boost it up to 50lbs thrust??????....Thanks in advance for any info........Warren
